Mr.Mahendar's Residence
The plot size of the house is 26’ x 100’ in a continuous building area. We were commissioned the project when the first floor roof was being casted. This house was on the second floor and there was no light and ventilation as there was no set back left on both the sides of this leaner house.
Bringing in light and air in the house was quite a challenge and this gave us opportunity to explore the volumetric spaces. Double height space was created to house the windows which not only let the air and light but completely transformed the spatial quality of the house.
